Dr. Meg grew up in a house filled with dogs, cats, lizards, birds, Guinea pigs and hamsters. While caring for her four-legged family members, she pursued her love of science. After completing an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, she started graduate school in pursuit of a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering. However, her love of chemistry pulled her towards a Master of Science at Villanova researching inorganic chemistry. In her free-time she began volunteering at a local veterinary hospital. It was during her volunteer hours that she found a combination of her love of animals and science and applied to the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
Living above an animal hospital throughout vet school, she used her newly gained knowledge to care for patients nightly. Graduating in 2007, she started at a private practice in Radnor, PA. Focusing her skills on small animals and exotic pets, she served the Main Line Community with medical and surgical care.
In 2011, after adopting her daughter from China, Dr. Meg transitioned to a new position as Medical Director at Main Line Animal Rescue (MLAR). During her time, she provided personal and high end medical care to rescue animals from around the country. Her patients have included domestic dogs and cats, birds, amphibians, reptiles and wildlife.
Of all her accomplishments, Dr. Meg is particularly proud of her time helping rescue animals with MLAR. Having personally helped rescue and heal animals from abusive situations, natural disasters, and neglect, Dr Meg will continue to be a part of the rescue community at East Bradford Veterinary Hospital.
In her free time, Dr. Meg spends time with her husband and daughter. In their home they have rescued and loved many animals over the years. Currently they share their home with four dogs (1 diabetic, 1 blind, 1 megaesophagus, and 1 senior), three cats (2 seniors and 1 hermaphrodite), and a Guinea Pig (who loves his veggies). Her hobbies include working out, indulging in zombie movies, HGTV, DIY around the house, exploring new foods, and hiking in the woods. She has also actively involved in multiple organizations such as AVMA, PVMA, rescue organizations, and her community.
